Lottery dreams

This is just a bit of fun daydreaming.  I expect I will add to this from time to time, as needed.

I have often mentioned the house at 50 Burnside Avenue. Back when we lived there, Burnside Avenue was a beautiful place to live; today it is an example of what happens when the Town Planning and Zoning Commission forgets that people live in the town. It is NOT all about sticking a business in anyplace it fits. Burnside Avenue was destroyed in this way, and I hope the TP&Z members who let this happen have a special circle in Hell, where they can all burn for eternity.

Having put the truth out there, I would like to engage in a bit of fantasy that my cousin, Stacy, and I have been “visiting” lately...what would happen if we won a Lottery so huge that our respective shares would clear a billion dollars each after taxes? We feel that if you are going to dream, dream big!

The house at 50 Burnside Avenue would be mine (Stacy would do renovations on the Bragg Street house, making it into a fabulous home for herself, her son, and her sister and brother-in-law), and I would restore my childhood home to its full former glory. I would also own the properties that flank it...and I would take great pleasure in ridding my own personal “serenity park” of the offending buildings which are currently there. The only exception I would make would be the small house at the rear of the property. I would keep and restore that. I always wanted a guest cottage!
